University of Exeter PGCE in Secondary English and Media

Over 15 years’ classroom teaching experience, specialising in English literature and language and several years’ experience as a one-to-one tutor.

I have experience as an examiner, providing an invaluable insight into the assessment process, which has led to a greater understanding of my subject, that I use to inform my teaching.

I ensure my lessons are of high standard and I am always striving to improve my qualities as a tutor, keeping apprised of governmental changes. I have a proven track record of students unlocking their potential so that they achieve above their predicted grade. I also, with permission, contact your child’s school English teacher so that I know the targets and grades your child is working towards.

I know the syllabus and exams for all main education boards (AQA, Edexcel, Eduqas and OCR, Cambridge IGCSE).
