Jules has been tutoring my daughter, Isobel, in English for the last two years. She was already in the top set at a private school but had been through a number of English teachers, some changing even during the middle of the year. None of them inspired her love of English or taught her to a high enough standard to enable her to strive for top marks. She was getting to a point where she was no longer enjoying what had been her favourite and best subject.
Jules swiftly turned this around and has been extremely professional, inspiring, kind and fun. She has offered my daughter specific exam skills for her 13+ scholarship school entry. We will without doubt continue to use Jules through to GCSE level and beyond. She has also been a wise and sensible sounding board for both my children’s general education.
I couldn’t recommend her more highly. We all look forward to seeing her every Saturday morning and long may that last!

All you want as parents is for your child to be given the chance to fulfil their potential. Our son, Harry, is Dyslexic. He needed support at school but it wasn’t available. We had a dilemma, as Harry hated school, so the thought of private tuition was not top on his list!
Unfortunately he was falling so far behind, that he had reached the point where GCSEs were overwhelming. Harry’s self esteem and confidence had reached rock bottom!
Then he met Jules.
It wasn’t instant, as Harry is extremely quiet and needed lots of encouragement. He would rather say nothing than guess and be wrong! Jules gained his trust and always concentrated on his positives. She always believed in his ability. She convinced him he had the knowledge and ability to achieve. Harry had the tools but needed the know-how, support and patience that Jules showed him to put these skills into practice.
Jules switched a light on that nobody else had.
We will always be so grateful that Jules helped him through a difficult time. She even got to see Harry’s cheeky side. Jules wasn’t just Harry’s tutor, she’s now a family friend.

Meeting Jules is the reason I got into the college of my dreams and now hold an offer for a forensic science course at the University of Kent.
She helped me achieve a level 6 in both literature and language after consecutively being predicted level 4s in both subjects.
She is reliable and kind, hardworking and has an obvious passion in everything she teaches. She helped me to understand that it was not my lack of ability that led me to those lower grades but merely a difficulty relating to the teaching in class.
Jules even went out of her way to read my essays and give feedback before I submitted them to my teacher and provided handouts and other worksheets to revise and learn for both subjects. Not to mention, she is patient and talks to you like an equal, relating difficult ideas to things you are familiar with to help you understand.
